Fribourg, swiss capital of historical organs

Allow yourself to be carried away by the stirring sound of the internationally renowned organs in Fribourg cathedral - musical instruments that are inextricably linked with the proud cultural heritage of a city’s entire population.

Unique in Switzerland, these organs, made by Sebald Manderscheidt (17th century) and Aloys Mooser (19th century), have long attracted curious visitors as well as virtuosos, such as Franz Liszt and Anton Bruckner. Painstakingly restored, both organs are again the pride of Fribourg.

An international festival held every year is a must for lovers of organ music, artists and composers alike.
