A pretty circular walk to discover some of the wonders of the city of Fribourg: Le Bois and Lac de Pérolles, the Maigrauge Dam and Abbey, the fish lift, ... and of course the natural beauty of the area!

From Fribourg railway station, take the boulevard de Pérolles, the Chemin Guillaume-Ritter, then the Sentier Guillaume-Ritter going down through the forest to the Maigrauge dam. Admire the landscape (Lac de Pérolles, Sarine river) and the dam facilities (in particular the fish lift). Then, after crossing the dam, follow either the Chemin de l'Abbaye or the Promenade de la Maigrauge, along the Sarine river. Continue on the "Promenade de la Maigrauge" until you reach the Pont de la Motta overlooking the Sarine river.

There, two possibilities are available:
1. Finish the walk by joining the Downtown by the Route de la Sarine, the Route-Neuve and Grands-Places (access by a public staircase
leading to the NH Hotel) or take a ride on the funicular
2. Continue the walk along the Chemin de la Motta. Here, you can have a dip at Les Bains de la Motta (entrance located at Chemin
des Bains, entrance fee). The Fri-Art Museum (Centre d'Art Contemporain) is located in the neighborhood. Join the Rue de la
Neuveville and take the Rue de la Neuveville and the Grand-Fontaine, which leads to the Place du Tilleul.

To return to the city centre, there are also two possibilities:
1. Take the bus to the station, from the "Fribourg, Place du Tilleul" stop, to "Fribourg, CFF railway station". During the day, buses
running every 10-15 minutes.
2. Continue on foot, either by the Rue de Lausanne (pedestrian zone with shops) or by the Route des Alpes (magnificent point
of view). Arrival at Place Georges-Python. Follow Rue de Romont (pedestrian street), and finally Avenue de la Gare (railway
