A leaflet with map and access is available by Fribourg Tourism.
Count about 3 hours for the entire route.
Several stairs have been installed to access (cautionary notice to the use of stairs and slopes).
Remarque: the Great Bulwark is not open to the public until August 23 due to the Belluard-Bollewerk Festival and the Open-air Cinema. Only possible to enter the building on request with a guide.
Flags are installed on each tower to commemorate the European Year of Cultural Heritage
